She grew up in Ludhiana, he in Amritsar — barely two hours apart, and yet it took a country on the other side of the world for them to finally meet. Canada gave them their beginning; Punjab gave them their wedding.

There is something lovely about a couple who found each other so far from home and then chose to come back for this. Between the laughter of cousins flying in from three continents and the quiet moment before the pheras, this was a wedding that belonged to two families as much as it did to them.
